Join Music Director, Steven Jarvi, and the Dearborn Symphony for an evening celebrating the worlds greatest Marches. From the military style marches of Sousa, to College Fight Songs and classical favorites, this program is full of spirited songs that you love. Since it is "March Madness" in the world of sports, the concert also comes with a bit of a sports twist and we are joined by former Red Wings coach and 2010 Olympian, Dave Lewis to share some stories about the world of sports and introduce The Olympic Spirit by John Williams.

Whether you are celebrating Valentine’s Day or Galentine’s Day, this concert is full of fun as we journey through a musical history of dating and love. From the melodramatic couple Samson and Delilah’s wildest party scene to films where we all fell in love like “Pretty Woman” and “Ghost,” this is a unique program offering something for everyone. Two lucky couples will even join us to play The Newlywed Game during the concert!
This concert also features special guests, the Dearborn Youth Symphony, in our annual side-by-side performance. These talented high school students represent 27 communities throughout Southeast Michigan and Maestro Jarvi skillfully combines them with our orchestra for a program not to be missed.

Movie Night is always an audience favorite and this season we bring you the sounds of blockbuster legacy films. The sound of these films has become a soundtrack that defines generations, and for musicians, it continues a legacy of romantic music that was interrupted by WWI and found a new voice in Hollywood. Music from blockbuster movie soundtracks like “The Godfather,” “Star Trek,” “Indiana Jones,” and “Pirates of the Caribbean” have captured the imaginations of millions for decades. The Dearborn Symphony will perform live what so many people have only heard through speakers as we perform some of the most lasting music of the 20th and 21st Century.

From D-Day to VE Day. In a must-see program for history lovers, historian John Monsky captures the dramatic final 11 months of World War II in Europe through the eyes of Ernest Hemingway, LIFE magazine war photographer Robert Capa, and Vogue model-turned-photojournalist Lee Miller. This musically driven, multimedia experience tells the story of those who served and sacrificed for our country, including the young men who landed on the beaches of Normandy and the all-Black 761st Tank Battalion.
